Partnering With the Good Jobs Challenge

Many of our team members at Monti have joined us immediately or shortly after their high school and college graduations to begin their manufacturing careers. With this in mind, we’ve taken a proactive approach to address the challenges faced by many of our younger employees. 

We are active participants in the Good Jobs Challenge, a partnership between Cincinnati Works and local partners to help support recent high school graduates begin their careers. Through hands-on workforce training programs, we can help identify and encourage recent graduates to pursue a career in the manufacturing industry at Monti Inc. 

Recent high school graduate, Kevin Fuller, joined Monti as a participant in the Good Jobs Challenge. Kevin initially took a course meant for high school students who aim to enter the workforce immediately following graduation and then joined Cincinnati Works and the Advanced Manufacturing Industry Partnership for boot camp.

Since completing boot camp, Kevin has joined Monti Inc. as a Quality Technician and will continue to complete additional training to bridge skills gaps through the Good Jobs Challenge.

Whether our team is working toward their degrees from community colleges or universities or earning certifications to learn new skills, Monti is here to support our employees in pursuing higher education, providing opportunities for personal and professional growth. Many of our team members are taking courses or training from educational institutions of some form! One of our Production Managers is earning their MBA at Xavier while continuing to work full-time at Monti. 

If we add new manufacturing technology and automation to our facilities, we make sure that our current team understands how to use it safely and effectively. That means we produce education and workshops aimed at improving our team’s skill sets. 

By investing in education, we not only enhance the skills of our workforce but also foster a culture of continuous learning and retention. We are proud that so many of our team members have been at Monti for the majority of their careers and trust in our company.

Recruiting the Next Generation of Manufacturing

Not only do we ensure that our current employees are happy and receiving the upskilling they need for safe interactions on the shop floor, but we are also passionate about recruiting the next generation of manufacturing leaders to Monti.
