This vertical machining center will come equipped with through the spindle coolant and air, wireless part and tool probing, along with high intensity LED lighting. All of this will assist at improving productivity and part quality at our Cincinnati facility.

The EXXACT Series Moving Table 3-axis machining center sets a new level of CNC accuracy and machining performance. The combination of a highly rigid base, steel weldments and castings, and high accuracy servo system make the EXXACT an ideal choice for machining GPO-3 and G10 electrical insulation fabrications at our Cincinnati facility. We’ll also use it for our aluminum fabrications and machining.

Automated Powder Coating Line Commissioned at Monti Inc. in Greenwood, S.C., for Metal Fabrications

Automated Powder Coating Line 1

A new high-volume, automated powder coating line for ANSI-61 Gray can accept a 2-ft.-by-4-ft.-by-8-ft. component. The 20,000-sq.-ft. building includes a wash line, dry-off tunnel, powder coating process and curing oven.

The line was installed to control costs and lead times, which means no need to pass on rate increases to customers and no third-party related complications to slow productivity. Monti’s Greenwood facility now controls the complete powder coating process and is already running at an average of 75-percent capacity.

First, a little background on GPO-3:

GP0-3 is a UL recognized plastic insulation material that performs very well in many high voltage electrical insulating applications that require high strength, flame resistance, low smoke generation and moderate heat resistance. Its most common use is to support and electrically isolate power and electrical distribution equipment.

How does Monti Inc. form and fabricate copper?

Here are seven ways to make copper busbars and copper fabrications.

1. Copper fabrication using forming and or bending is performed after the part has been cut to length, punched or milled. Copper forming and bending requires special forming tools and fixtures.

2. Copper stamping, coil processing and die cutting is performed using high speed production presses capable of forming .062” to .375” copper bar stock or coil.
