Monti Inc. Participates in Manufacturing Day to Introduce Youth to Manufacturing Careers
Monti Inc.’s commitment to moving the manufacturing industry forward is evident with their support of Manufacturing Day, an introduction for high school students to learn about different manufacturing careers.
Manufacturing day is the first Friday in October but continues throughout the month. The series of events help showcase modern manufacturing careers by encouraging companies and educational institutions to open their doors to students, teachers and community leaders.
As students attended a virtual event with Monti Inc., they learned about the types of work, met current employees and discovered first-hand about Monti’s team atmosphere. In preparation of the tours, Monti Inc. produced a video overview that introduced team members and career paths to those in attendance.
By sharing what it is like to work at Monti, students got a first-hand view into a career in manufacturing. “The culture at Monti is collaborative and exciting,” said Molly Fender, VP Human Resources. “When you walk the floor at Monti, you’ll see people working hard, having fun and solving problems.”
Monti receives Cincy Magazine’s 2019 MANNY Award for best place to work. Manufacturers from across the Tristate, including Monti, were recognized at Cincy Magazine’s 13th Annual MANNY Awards on June 13th, at JACK Casino.
Monti was selected in part due to employee longevity, a willingness to promote from within and its educational opportunities for growth. Many employees have taken advantage of the continued education program and gone on to leadership roles within the company.
Monti is one of 75 semi-finalists named in the University of Cincinnati’s 20thannual Goering Center “Best in Class” Family & Private Business Awards. Monti advanced as a semi-finalist from a field of 600 regional companies. Monti, along with all other semi-finalists, will be recognized September 10, 2019, as 6 businesses will receive the top award in their category and 12 will be announced as finalists.

Adam Richendollar has been part of the Monti family since 2012. Immediately after high school, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Network Systems Communication Management from DeVry University. Unable to find a job in his field after graduation, Adam started working at Walmart to support his family. He knew this wasn’t a long-term solution and continued to look for a more fulfilling career.
