Second Shift- Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will conduct general and preventative maintenance and repairs on facility and facility equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine and preventative maintenance on facility machines and equipment.
  • Inspects buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
  • Rebuilds and replaces centrifugal and air diaphragm pumps.
  • Performs inspections on overhead cranes and hoist.
  • Repairs faulty equipment and damaged structures.
  • Fixes potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
  • Plans and schedules repairs.
  • Secures quotations.
  • Orders replacement parts and electrical components.
  • Maintains a safe and clean facility.
  • Operates machinery in a safe manner.
  • Maintains 6S (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) standards in all work stations.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Knowledge of TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance) concepts.

Required Education and Experience:

Strong maintenance background in both the mechanical and electrical side of a wide range of CNC and manual machinery including but not limited to:

  • CNC Mills – Haas & Mazak
  • CNC Lathes
  • Saws – Kaltenbach
  • Lasers – Mazak
  • CNC Turret Stamping Presses
  • Stamping Presses – Stamtec
  • Press Brakes – Accur Press & Bystronic
  • Water Jet

Strong background in general facility maintenance including electrical, industrial vacuums, air compressors, forklifts, elevators, and machine installation.

Preferred Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

PLC knowledge.

Experience maintaining machines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Uncontrolled environmental conditions: noise, dust, dirt, and mobile equipment.
  • Routine, repetitive lifting up to 35 lbs., occasional, heavy lifting, and pushing / pulling 10 lbs. regularly, 1 to 10 hours per day.
  • Any combination of standing, bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling, and walking 8 to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to work up to 8-10 hour shifts and overtime as required by the work.
  • Use of all limbs, dexterous and steady use of hands and arms for long periods of time.
  • Simultaneous mental and muscular coordination, visual and audio awareness of surrounding area.
