First shift-Sales Engineer

Job Summary:

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for selling manufactured products and services by acting as a liaison in the sales process when complex and technical equipment are involved. They will resolve technical issues as they arise during the sales process, including product design, pricing, quality, production and delivery.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and give technical presentations to explain to customer how the products and services work
  • Communicate with the sales team to understand consumer demands and offer sales support where necessary
  • Prepare all documents needed for manufacturing
  • Secure orders, guarantee product standards and assure product delivery
  • Recommend and implement new and improved products to the customers
  • Build customer rapport and acceptance
  • Collect, analyze, and utilize marker intelligence regarding material overhead, customer needs, preferences and buying habits
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and concepts
  • Good time management, presentation/training skills, planning and value-added selling skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to focus ambiguous customer needs into specific, deliverable requirements
  • Analytical ability and great problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree

Field of study: Engineering, technical or similar

Physical Requirements:

  • Uncontrolled environmental conditions: noise, dust, dirt, and mobile equipment.
  • Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs.
  • Any combination of standing, bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling, and walking 8 to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to work up to 8-10 hour shifts and overtime as required by the work.
  • Use of all limbs, dexterous and steady use of hands and arms for long periods of time.
  • Simultaneous mental and muscular coordination, visual, and audio awareness of surrounding area.
