First Shift – Shipping/Material Handler/Driver (Greenwood, SC)

Job Summary:

The Material Handler will handle, move, and store various materials within the warehouse. This position is not just a forklift operator role—we need someone who is willing to take on a variety of shipping and material handling duties. While forklift operation is part of the job, we are looking for someone flexible and reliable who can handle all aspects of shipping. Being a daily delivery and pick-up driver is essential

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Handles all shipping/receiving responsibilities
  • Operates a forklift in a safe manner while being aware of surroundings (ex. pedestrians,
  • other forklifts, equipment).
  • Local delivery driver, must be able to operate a box truck
  • Multitasks to fulfill all requests in a timely manner.
  • Identifies and locates the correct areas to deliver products in the warehouse.
  • Keeps all material handling equipment in the best condition by calling the Maintenance
  • Team for repairs and regular preventative maintenance.
  • Moves products around the warehouse using forklift.
  • Maintains 6S (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) standards in all work
  • stations.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Basic math skills (ex. addition, subtraction, multiplication).

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Must have prior experience in a shipping department
  • Must be able to pass an Insurance Clearance to operate a Box Truck

Physical Requirements:

  • Uncontrolled environmental conditions: noise, dust, dirt, and mobile equipment.
  • Routine, repetitive lifting up to 35 lbs., occasional, heavy lifting, and pushing / pulling 10
  • lbs. regularly, 1 to 10 hours per day.
  • Any combination of sitting, standing, bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching,
  • reaching, handling, feeling, and walking 8 to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to work up to 8–10-hour shifts and overtime as required by the work.
  • Use of all limbs, dexterous and steady use of hands and arms for long periods of time.
  • Simultaneous mental and muscular coordination, visual and audio awareness of
  • surrounding area.
  • Vision abilities required by this job: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral
  • vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
